YOUR WELL-BEING HAS A BIGGER IMPACT ON OTHERS MORE THAN YOU
Even if you’re okay with letting yourself suffer, your lack of well-being indirectly affects the well-being of those who love you whether or not you realize it. So take initiative to improve your well-being anyway because when you are unwell, remember they as a result are hurting with you.
When you avoid healing your body, the people who love you can’t look after themselves because your unhealthy lifestyle choices burdens them to take care of you.
When you avoid healing your heart, the people who love you are saddened because your distress rejects them from showing you how much they love you.
When you avoid healing your trauma, the people who love you suffer because your victimhood is a painful reminder that no matter what they say or do, they can’t help you.
If you can’t heal yourself for your own well-being, focus on healing yourself for the well-being of those around you. When you take care of yourself, it’s an act of service for them because you’re letting them know by your example that they can take care of themselves knowing you’re already taken care of. When they know that you are truly well, it gives them space to breathe.
